"You are the salt of the earth. (For their preservation & to draw out the BEST in others!)....... You are the light of the world....(to shine HIS love to people)" Matthew 5:13-14
After having this on my heart for many weeks and much urgency this past week, I finally finished this. Many use this verse to remind us that salt is a preservative. But, I felt the Father reminded me that if not used too strongly salt draws out and encourages the very best in food (people). May we all be the ones to draw out the best in others instead of pointing out their worst and may we shine His light to this hurting world!! I am very blessed to be able to be a part of it and I pray you are too! It is a triptych with an over all size of about 27" x 31", oil, with the salt & candle portions being 12 x 18 & the Earth-14 x 14.

I love the it is very literal and simple. But to the mind that bears the call God gives, the images portray a much deeper meaning. Salt has been an important part in man's "life". It enhances flavor, preserves food, and cleanses things. This is exactly how our Lord desires for us to be. As we are the salt - we emanate light. Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him - Psalm 34:8.
I was looking at it & just could not get a feel for it until I read the comment by Angela. And there it was! You work is amazing Felica! May the Lord continue to bless you in this area that brings such peace to you & blessings to so many!♥
